Rat On The Bottle In Water - Unique Handmade Glazed Ceramics Sculpture, Portrait

2020

About the Item

The sculpture is signed below. Monika Zadurska-Bielak, Graduated from the studio of Prof. Franciszek Duszeńko at the Faculty of Sculpture of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk (diploma 1993). Main media used in her sculpture are ceramic and silicone.    Her last series of glazed ceramic figures, called "Rats - Survival" is the result of Monika's interest in the animal world with relation to a human-dominated reality. In this pro-ecological statement a rat symbolizes nature's struggle with problems caused by overproduction and environmental pollution.
