About works: In a series of works that Suzy Hug Levy creates with stacks of paper, we witness that she shapes the material by wrinkling it consciously or randomly. Labyrinthine images reminiscent of the mineral, vegetal and biological realms influence our perception, leading to a cellular abundance and topographical reading. Rhythmic wrinkles and faults intertwined with dizzying shortcuts, reminiscent of the deepest folds and protrusions of our memories, buried layers that only a hidden tectonics can bring to the surface again; These formations also question our humanity.

FRANKIE SAYS RELAX series. (Frankie Goes to Hollywood is a very popular British band popular. The group's 1983 debut single Relax was banned by the BBC in 1984 while at number six in the charts and subsequently topped the UK Singles Chart for five consecutive weeks, going on to enjoy prolonged chart success throughout that year and ultimately becoming the seventh best selling UK single of all time. ) According to the artist; The idleness save the world, everything will begin one day by not going to work. In ancient Athena, working was attributed only to the slaves. As for today, the monopolies who direct world politics and economy, do not eschew from provoking war for their own interests, and make people ill and then dooms to medicine have created their own modern slaves of consumption with their so-called aims of development, growth and welfare society. Porcelain on granite Deniz Pireci's works; He tries to rediscover all the meanings contained in ceramics as a tool, to emphasize them even more, and sometimes simply to reveal them. As a tool, it is obvious that porcelain refers to fragility, craft, handcraft as well as mystery and the invisible. The use of porcelain in the field of contemporary art necessarily encompasses all these concepts, which it evokes as a material, within its scope. Pireci produces works that are included in many different trends with its approach to materials and art. At the same time, it not only questions our sovereignty over images, it creates an opportunity for us to lose it for a while. (Aysegul Sonmez) Deniz Pireci, who deals with issues such as migration, locality, identity, cultural difference and gender from different perspectives in her art practice, was born in Istanbul. She graduated, Ceramic Department of Marmara University Fine Arts Faculty. She completed her Master's Degree in Marmara University Fine Arts Institute Ceramic-Glass Main Art Branch in 2006 and still continues her work in her studio in Istanbul. Some of the artists works are on display at; Eczacibasi - VitrA Ceramic Art Studio, Korea Museum of KOCEF, Turkish...

  • 'Femme Assise'. Large Mixed-media Montage on Board.
    By Armand Avril
    Located in Cotignac, FR
Imposing and very large scale mixed media 'assemblage' by French artist Armand Avril. The work includes the French tricolour flag colours, his symbolic cat sculptures and a highly colourful geometric image of the artist's mother sitting in a chair. The work is signed and dated to the reverse and comes with a certificate of authenticity from the gallery. This montage fully demonstrates Avril's geometric period whilst also expressing the humour and joy that he puts into all his work. A very strong sculptural image and a feast for the eyes in searching for and recognising the everyday objects used in making this piece come alive. This montage is made from wood pieces, plywood, oil paint, acrylic, bottle top and nails . The more sculpted areas of the piece stand out up to 3cm from the frame. Armand Avril was born in 1926 in Lyon. His father, Marcel Avril was a painter and collector of African art. At 16 Armand became an apprentice shepherd in Provence. Avril could always be seen equipped with a sketchbook and a book on the history of art whilst tending his flock. It was not until the age of 30, in 1956, that Armand embarked on painting as an autodidact, influenced by Raoul Dufy, Pierre Bonnard, Henri Matisse and the Lyonnaise School of Painting. He exhibited for the first time in 1957. In 1960, he left for a one-year trip to Africa. There he met the painter Jean Arène who introduced him to the village of Cotignac in the Var and to Louis Pons...
