Pair of French Empire gilt bronze candlesticks expertly chiseled signed "Barbedienne."
The central shaft features a figure of a "Vestal" woman surmounted by a circular element for housing the candle.
The chiseling is of great quality typical of the workshop of the great French master.
Provenance: 19th-century France.
Measurements: 12cm diameter. Height29cm.
