About the Item

"Life is Short, Relax" by Henk Jan Sanderman is a captivating ceramic tabletop sculpture that invites viewers to embrace the beauty of life and the importance of relaxation. This original artwork features two graceful whale shark tails, each adorned with black and white markings, with a grey shark's head nestled between them. Perched atop one of the whale shark tails is a bronze turtle, adding an element of whimsy and serenity to the composition. The focal point of the sculpture is the trio of marine creatures, which exude a sense of tranquility and harmony. The black and white markings of the whale shark tails create a striking contrast against the neutral grey of the shark's head, while the bronze turtle adds a touch of warmth and richness to the overall composition. The intricate details of the sculpture, from the gentle curves of the whale shark tails to the lifelike texture of the shark's skin, enhance the sense of realism and movement. Each element of the composition is meticulously crafted, inviting viewers to explore the depths of the ocean and immerse themselves in its beauty. The monochromatic color scheme of black and white adds to the sculpture's sense of elegance and simplicity, allowing the delicate details of the marine creatures to shine through. Against a neutral backdrop, the sculpture becomes a focal point, capturing the viewer's attention and inspiring a sense of calm and relaxation. Signed by the artist and ready for display, "Life is Short, Relax" is a testament to Sanderman's artistic vision and technical skill.
