Information: Juliana Del Burgo, artistically known as ‘Burgo’, was born in Cascais, Lisbon, Portugal.
My inspiration to create the Blooming Bears started during the first spring after the coronavirus when I had a dream in which my childhood cartoon heroes, the Care Bears and I, were saving the world. After reading Yuval Noah Harari's book "Homo Deus", where he talks about the world's problems, my idea really started to form.
Each bear model is molded in the hands of a skilled sculptor, then reproduced in resin and hand-painted, showing tribute to timeless iconic artists, illuminating life and connecting to your superpower.
The bears are decorated with crystal rhinestones applied individually and delicately with great technique, varying from thousands to half a million, depending on the size and complexity of the model. The bear is delivered in its custom-made protective glass enclosure, ready for you to enjoy.
