Kirsten Stingle
Tea and Transformation

About the Item

"Tea and Transformation" is a sculpture by Kirsten Stingle from the 2022 exhibition Is This Too Much? A Maximalism Group Show. The piece is 43 inches high, 23 inches wide, and 23 inches in depth. "Tea and Transformation" is hand built porcelain with ceramic finishes and mixed media. The sculpture spins from the base. From the artist: Is there anything more luxurious, in this rapidly changing world, than to take a moment’s respite and enjoy the company of friends? Add a great cup of lavender earl gray, a scone, and clotted cream and, perhaps, you have a slice of heaven. Teatime is not a hurried cup of bespoke drive-through coffee. It is a moment of reflection as you watch the world revolve. Take a pause, enjoy, breathe.
