About the Item
This ethereal freestanding sculpture measures 13 inches high and 16 inches wide and 7 inches deep. The artist signature is hand carved into the side of the sculpture. It is fired in a light grey matte glaze which lends a soft, elevated finish. The butterflys are finished in the same coloring and are detachable and interchangeable.
Inspired by various cultures and their differentiating views on nudity, Swedish artist Jennie Vinter began experimenting with artistic expression to convey her own view on the body and its elements. Her work is a modern twist of the ancient Greco-Roman statues, celebrating the beauty of the female body.
Jennie Vinter has sculpted many celebrities and been featured in many TV-shows and magazines.
