An extremely refined realistic sculptor who translates classic stories into modern forms in his own way.
Marion Visione works within a historical consciousness that seeks timelessness. Her bronze sculptures look like cultural survivors. Of her hand you will see mostly female figures drawn and distorted by time. The goals of elegance and modesty are achieved by their apparently fragile structure and dynamic form.
The artist about her work:
" Time and nature change what humans have created and sometimes enrich it. And it seems that what we create points both to the world as we know it today and to general ideas and emotions that transcend the moment intimate personal experiences that are familiar to all of us and also a sense of the universal that the human exceeds".
Everything the artist can hope to achieve is a deep sympathy for the world around him - to lose the distinction between himself and everything else - and to create from here.
