Olesia Dvorak-Galik
Plants on the reefs from the series "Mexico"

2017

About the Item

Materials: Hand sculpting, chamotte, glazing, wood The "Mexico" series, one of my favorite topics, is travel. In 2015, I met a new country for us - Mexico. I didn't really want to go to this country, and what I felt turned into different images. The country turned out to be interesting and with its history, nature, old architecture and the return of cultural traditions in the world, a language destroyed by the Spaniards, you can refuse to return there for a long time, but it is unknown what will happen after returning home. In the workshop I allowed myself to work without sketches, without calculations, only intuitive lines, complete freedom.
