- Shopping Cart: 'The Great Resignation Baggage Cart, Emotional Baggage Cart'By Theda SandifordLocated in New York, NY'My Emotional Baggage Carts are vessels to dispose of racial trauma. The act of making, weaves the sting of macro and microaggressions into the cart, freeing me from these constraints. Each recovered shopping cart is unique, but they all are woven with upcycled materials like rope, paracord, grocery bags, rope lights, beads, fabric, and bottle caps. The cart is with a protective zip tie blanket to trap trauma and prevent its escape. For me, my Emotional Baggage Carts are a release, for you, they are an opportunity to look within and recognize any emotional baggage you, yourself may be carrying and release it.' - Poem for a TreeBy Mark Beltchenko StudioLocated in Grosse Pointe Park, MIMy dedication to addressing environmental concerns through my sculpture has long been a subject for my work. By using my artistic voice to draw attention to the pressing issues facing our planet, I'm hoping to inspire change and raise awareness among viewers. The fabrication of the stretcher from brass and aluminum highlights my intentionality in material choice, symbolizing the intersection of human industry and natural resources. This juxtaposition of man-made materials with the organic form of the tree log creates a striking visual contrast that prompts viewers to consider the relationship between human activity and the environment. The use of a naturally hollowed tree...Category

- Alexander The Great's Siege Tent, Halicarnassus, ca. 333 BC, Miniature RoomBy Henry "Hank" KupjackLocated in Chicago, ILHalicarnassus was an ancient Greek city in Caria, in Anatolia. It was located in southwest Caria, on an advantageous site on the Gulf of Gökova, which is now in Bodrum, Turkey. The city was famous for the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, ranked as one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Halicarnassus was loyal to the Persians and formed part of the Persian Empire until Alexander the Great captured it at the siege of Halicarnassus in 333 BC.
