Summer at the Beach
Located in Wiscasett, ME
These cherry-red marble flip flops are so realistic looking that people have actually tried to put their feet in them! With summer coming to an end, what better way to celebrate your favorite season than to display these lovely sculptural pieces where you can enjoy them year round. Whether you place them in a sandbox or just lay them casually on your coffee table, this piece will be a great conversation starter. When there is a foot of snow outside and the winter chill gets in your bones, you will smile and think of your sunny days at the beach. American sculptor Robin Antar has been called “Brooklyn’s answer to Andy Warhol.” Her mission is to create a visual record of modern American culture through commonplace objects as she explores the question, “What is America?” Meticulously carved in stone, a hamburger with fries, an American-made work boot, denim jeans and a giant "Ballpark Frank...

“Video Editing Keyboard 1 - 2 - 3” (Archeology series) Video Keyboard Sculpture
Located in New York, NY
Daniel Fiorda in this new series of sculptures, continues in many ways the themes that have infused his previous work. For the last several years, Fiorda has dealt with technology, obsolescence, with the trail of discarded tech that humanity leaves behind and what it says about us. The new work takes this thematic one step further. These new wall pieces feature barely concealed found objects, almost fully engulfed by concrete, and yet still eerily discernible: industrial gears, computer keyboards, objects that evoke industrial post-digital eras. This piece is a set of 3 artworks that showcases a video editing keyboard on a white background, embedded in resin and they can be arranged for display in a variety of layouts. They come ready to hang with hanging hardware and they are signed by the artist on verso. Art measures 7 x 7 x 1.75 in (each) The overall sense is dystopian rather than apocalyptic. In Fiorda’s previous work, found objects were displayed as if unearthed from a bed of clay by a tacit anthropologist, perhaps decades into the future. A typewriter would be partially buried by dry soil and weathered by the passing of time. The underlying narrative was that of a future civilization unearthing the objects left by ours. Destruction or extinction was implied. In the new work, the obsolete technology is not found but rather engulfed by a new technology. Concrete, as a material and as a technology, has the capabilities to fully encase and envelope. In Fiorda’s new work, uniformity and the appropriation of old/new technology into new structures suggests a historical and technological challenge right around the corner, mirroring the ones in our recent past: the digital age fully replacing the analog world. These astounding sculptures, with embedded objects, are here to examine closely, and make connections between theme, material, and shape. Daniel Fiorda was born in 1963 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Of Italian ancestry, his lineage includes a grandfather highly respected as a wood craftsman, also his father was a craftsman in addition to being a musician and poet. Because a privileged life was not his, there was no university for Fiorda. In the Old World tradition of passing on knowledge from parent to child, he learned about machinery form his father, who recognized his son's talent and encouraged it. With some private tutoring, he began sculpting in high school using found objects. The press reviews of his first exhibit, at age 20, stated that Fiorda had a definite “poetic feeling”. With this encouragement, he continued to pursue his art. After leaving Argentina, he arrived in Miami Beach via a circuitous route and set up his studio in the South Florida Art Center. He has exhibited widely throughout the US including the OK Harris Gallery, Allan Stone Gallery in New York as well as the Heriard Cimino Gallery in New Orleans, Lélia Mordoch Gallery in Paris France and Lilac Gallery in New York City. Daniel was one of the winners in the 7th Annual Sculptures Competition (2003) held at Washburn University in Topeka , Kansas. Selected on the inaugural 2006 Palm Beach International Sculpture Biennale, and exhibited for the 3rd time in Sculpture Key West. He is an alumni Artist of ArtCenter/South Florida. 'Pieds Beau' Chair by Julien Righi French Contemporary Sculptor
Located in FR
'Pieds Beau' Chair by Julien Righi French Sculptor Mythological themes run through Juliens work in his series of sculptures of cities that are timeless, both ancient and futuristic. They are safe havens taking you to new worlds with cities built on the ruins of the old world, wonderful cities with fairy tale castles, mystic monasteries and temples reaching up and up towards the light. Julien portrays in all his pieces the evolution of mankind with a powerful chaotic beauty bringing great hope for our future If waste can transcend to greater aesthetic heights, then mankind can too. We can rise up like the cities he creates up and up towards the light, filling us with light, until we are the light by transformation, transmutation and alchemy. Julien Righi b 1977- contemporary sculptor...

Modernist Alaska Russia Table Sculpture Wood Map Collage Box Heart Assemblage
Located in Surfside, FL
A meticulously crafted David Barr assemblage box treasure trove. On the outside of the box the artists depicts Alaska and Russia on a wood cut map, and on the reverse side of the box top the silhouettes are mirrored in image form. Inside the box there is also set a heart shape granite stone and metal marble encased in plaster. The box when closed measures to be 7" W x 5.5" D x 4" H. David Barr (1939-2015) is an American sculptor and painter from Detroit, MI. Known for constructivist sculpture, architecture and surrealist, assemblage box sculpture collage works in the manner of Joseph Cornell. Born in 1939, Barr is an internationally known artists and has created many installations in natural settings. Vault took over a year to complete. His sculptures represent mathematics, geography and structurist nature, and otherwise known as "geo-structures." This one is kinetic and can be moved around. Barr is a graduate of Wayne State University and recipient of the WSU Distinguished Alumni Award. Influenced by sculptor Charles Biederman. In 1995 he founded the Michigan Legacy Art Park, and has pieces at the Chrysler World Headquarters, Flint's Bishop Airport, the Detroit Zoo, the State of Michigan Historical Museum and the Meadowbrook Festival Grounds Barr earned a master’s of fine arts degree from Wayne State University and was an associate professor of sculpture at Macomb Community College in Warren for 37 years. He worked on perhaps the largest sculpture in the world, the Four Corners Project, with installations at Greenland, Africa, Irian Jaya (New Guinea) and Easter Island. His sculptures are located all over the state of Michigan, but perhaps his most recognizable is Transcending, a blend of bronze, steel and granite that acknowledges the contributions of Detroit’s laborers and skilled tradespeople. David Barr is the founder of Michigan Legacy Art Park. David’s career as an artist, instructor, author and global thinker has crossed borders around the world, bringing people and ideas together. Over fifty years as a sculptor, David created a body of work that includes hundreds of wall-hanging structurist reliefs, sculptures for public spaces (such as Transcending in Hart Plaza, Detroit done with Sergio De Giusti), works for private collections, massive global projects (such as The Four Corners Project) and Michigan Legacy Art Park. David’s studio was in Detroit for fifteen years until he realized he needed nature as a source of inspiration. In 1977 he bought 4 acres of land in rural Oakland County (now Novi) and in 1979 built his home, a contemporary structure that has become the centerpiece of his own art park. His work is included in the collection of outdoor sculptures at The Dennos Museum Center along with Clement Meadmore, Hanna Stiebel, Lee Lee-Nam, Li Hongbo...
