Bee's wax sculpture natural
She has always been a researcher of refined and rare artistic techniques, and she finds in the virgin wax of beeswax - since 2006 - the language that combines her manual ability, her inventiveness and above all the possibility of deepening and transferring her knowledge in the botanical field. Before going into the contemporary world, Nizzoli wanted to appropriate the technique - as no one today - and in the first years of activity challenged herself with the revolutionary verismo of Caravaggio, proposing a 3D basket, a work exhibited at the Gam of Milan in 2010, a faithful reproduction of the painted, deceptively identical and three-dimensional. Subsequently, in 2011, on the occasion of a solo exhibition in the National Gallery of Palazzo Spinola in Genoa, she created a work in homage to Bartolomeo Bimbi performing a triumph composed of 250 citrus fruits of 56 different species and 600 leaves, for a total of 50 kilos of casting wax. In the same year she took part in the exhibition ""Nature Redivive"", Palazzo Guidobono of Tortona. She joins, as the nly sculptor presented, three generations of ""spiritual"" masters of Italian figuration and leading exponents of Dutch painting. From here the inventive and personal journey of Nizzoli starts, which today stands out for her mastery of technique and paralleled manual skills, matching with an ironic, very contemporary spirit, with which she creates daring, provocative, new or simply compositions and installations. Simply beautiful. In 2012 she created a sculpture on the theme of the Apocalypse exhibited in Milan at the Pirelli Skyscraper and, in the same year, in Genoa, Museo Diocesano, a work that speaks of ""tales of Art and Solidarity"". In 2013 she was invited to perform a permanent work on biodiversity by the Director of the new Natural History Museum of Trento, the MUSE, a structure designed by Renzo Piano. The following year, 2014, she exhibited at the Palazzo Ducale in Genoa, Historical Archives of the Municipality and began to work on the large installation ""The Food Pyramid"". A structure three meters high and with a base of four, composed of 1927 elements all in wax, exhibited at the exhibition ""Food in the Art Masterpieces of the Great Masters from the seventeenth century to Warhol"" Brescia, Palazzo Martinengo, curated by Davide Dotti. The monumental installation designed for Brescia stimulates Nizzoli to add to the more than four hundred botanical models that already had about seventy new subjects in the archive including meat, fish, pasta, desserts, cheeses, eggs, bread and others to represent a gastronomic universe of raw materials. The result, in addition to the scientific and artistic aspects, is a suggestion towards a correct food education. She reflects also on biodiversity through her interpretation of ""Vanitas"". IShe proposes the theme of globalization by reproducing numerous varieties of potatoes from the origins in Peru to migration throughout Europe. During these years, the Salamon Fine Art of Milan, in the figure of Lorenza Salamon, has organized several personal exhibitions based on her artistic personality of Nizzoli.
