Jay Strongwater is an American contemporary artist and designer, born in 1960. He is known for high fashion home furnishings and jewelry that is elegant and vividly be-jeweled. His career began while he was still a student, at the Rhode Island School of Design. At age 23, he met Oscar de la Renta and began to collaborate with him on jewelry designs for runway shows.
