A fine and impressive vintage 0.30 carat (total) amethyst, garnet and peridot, 9 karat gold donkey and cart brooch; part of our diverse vintage jewelry and estate jewelry collections.
This fine and impressive vintage brooch has been crafted in 9k yellow gold in the form of a donkey and cart.
The donkey's body is decorated with a textured finish representing its coat and features.
The cart being pulled by the donkey is also crafted in 9k yellow gold, and ornamented with a multi-gemstone design incorporating four amethysts, two garnets and a peridot .
The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and safety clasp fastening.
This impressive vintage brooch is accented with an articulated bucket in 9k white gold, suspended from the back of the cart.
This 1960s brooch is clearly hallmarked to the underside of the cart with the gold fineness mark (9k) and the maker's mark for Alabaster and Wilson* (A&W), and supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.
NOTE* Alabaster & Wilson was co-founded in 1887 by Arthur Alabaster and Thomas Watson in Birmingham. This producer of high quality gold and diamond jewelry remains as one of the longest running family businesses in the UK today.

This fine and impressive vintage cart brooch has been crafted in 9k yellow, white and rose gold.
The brooch has been crafted in the form of a cart and pail.
The cart is ornamented with two round cut citrines, two round cut amethysts, a round cut green tourmaline, a round cut pink tourmaline and a round cut ruby, individually four claw / prong set to the center of the design with a total gemstone carat weight of 0.85 carat.
The canopy of the cart consists of eight slats, crafted in alternating 9k white gold and 9k rose gold.
The cart has two pierced decorated cartwheels, and a 9k white gold pail suspends and articulates from the left side of the design.
The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and safety clasp.
The brooch is hallmarked to the reverse with the maker's mark for Alabaster & Wilson 'A & W', the 9k gold fineness mark (9.375), the Birmingham Assay Office hallmark (anchor) and the date letter for 1966 (R).
The brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.
