By Van Cleef & Arpels
Located in London, GB
A stylish pair of gold and hardstone vintage cufflinks by Van Cleef & Arpels c.1972, the double ended cufflinks formed of two cylindrical bars in 18ct yellow gold with fluted edges linked by a solid bar to create an overall H shape, the gold bar ends are removable and can be swapped for carnelian, tiger’s eye or rock crystal bars, meaning you get four pairs of cufflinks in one, of course you could always mix and match and wear one of each colour or marry up two gold with two tiger’s eye for example, there are multiple options. These cufflinks were part of VCA’s ‘la boutique’ offering, a concept which they launched in 1954 which aimed to sell fine jewellery and accessories to a younger clientele. Amongst these pieces were a range of charming animal brooches which proved hugely popular with many clients, jewellery set with coral, turquoise and a variety of hardstones as well as accessories such as cufflinks, watches, vanities cases and cigarette boxes.
