It is distinguished by its minimalist design and clean lines that integrate harmoniously into various spaces. In addition, its structure allows you to easily change the backrest, thus obtaining an original sofa, adapting to your needs. Production was of few units, made mainly for Bang & Olufsen. With its sturdy structure and high-quality upholstery, the EJ800 sofa is not only an aesthetically appealing piece of design, but also a luxurious experience for those who enjoy it. The arrangement of the modules allows this sofa to be adapted to individual needs and preferences. The structure is very robust and resistant, made of chromed steel tubes. The black leather upholstery on the top and durable fabric on the rest of the sofa is an undeniable symbol of Danish elegance and sophistication, which contrasts with the fun shape of the seat. Mid-Century Modern Black Faux Leather Love Seat Sofa by Taylor Chair Co. Style D
By Harvey Probber, Dunbar Furniture, Edward Wormley, Taylor Chair co.
Located in Topeka, KS
Handsome Mid-Century Modern love seat length sofa in black vinyl faux leather upholstery and walnut base in the style of Wormley for Dunbar or Harvey Probber. It is in wonderful vintage condition. We believe the black vinyl to be fairly new. The walnut base does have age appropriate little nicks and dings. Please see photos, circa 1960s. It is hard to say who designed and produced this fabulously gorgeous and simple streamline Mid-Century Modern style sofa first. Was is Edward Wormley for Dunbar? Was it Harvey Probber or Florence Knoll? Or, did Taylor Chair Company, the maker of this particular love seat, actually make their rendition first? Does it matter? You will love the lines and materials used in this two-seat love seat Lawson shape sofa with a tight back and two loose seat cushions. It is covered in a very nice and natural looking black faux leather vinyl. So close to the real thing its is hard to tell the difference. And sets on a walnut Parsons’ style base. Simple but very handsome. Taylor Chair Company was founded by Benjamin Fitch in 1816 Bedford, Ohio. He originally made split-bottom chairs in his cabin. In 1841 one of Mr. Fitch’s employees, William O. Taylor, married Mr. Fitch’s daughter. William quickly took over active management of the company and by late 1940s the company became known as W.O. Taylor Factory. After a fire in the original location the factory moved. In 1871 W.O. Taylor’s son, Vincent A. Taylor, took the helm and the name was changed to W.O. Taylor and Son as they became an award-winning company. In 1885 the company incorporated becoming a public company known as The Taylor Chair...

"EJ315" Two-Seater Sofa by Erik Ole Jørgensen, Denmark 1970s
By Fredericia Stolefabrik, Erik Ole Jørgensen
Located in Utrecht, NL
Erik Jørgensen’s furniture workshop was founded in in Svendborg in 1954 by upholsterer Erik Jørgensen, who mastered the art of combining comfort and craftsmanship with timeless design. Jørgensen’s company developed into a well-reputed furniture upholstering company within a few years. This original design by Erik Ole Jørgensen was created in 1975 and produced by Fredericia Furniture. The “EJ315” series was designed by Erik Jørgensen himself, who, as a designer, is known for his classic and functional sofas. The sofa is part of his original collection - outside the Erik Jørgensen Studio - representing Jørgensen's original design values which were particularly characterized by his sense of materials, compositions, and high level of detail. Through his years as a furniture architect, he has built up a large portfolio of different sofas, all of which share these values. The series and therefore this model also showcases the superb carpentry that underpins the final look and quality of the furniture. The frame is made of machined wood with a clear structure and grain, adding an organic element to the furniture. The seat and back are constructed with a tightly padded shell with perfectly proportioned cushions that balance a sophisticated look with comfort. Dozens of buttons are hand-stitched onto the cushions to create a visually playful look that also embraces contemporary trends along with the striped upholstery. An upright backrest and high armrests help to create a formal seating experience that is ideal in conversational environments or in lobbies as well as hotels. Jørgensen designed this series and this specific sofa model for the world-famous Danish company, Fredericia. Since its foundation in 1911, the family-owned company Fredericia has built a strong tradition of craftsmanship and design, developed in close collaboration with a circle of internationally recognized designers. Fredericia originally specialized in upholstery production. From the start, the products are known for their high level of craftsmanship, which is evident in this sofa as well. Erik Jørgensen has combined good craftsmanship with exceptional comfort for decades, qualities that went on to become the starting point for functional design with a Scandinavian aesthetic.
