Giuseppe Gallo, born in Rogliano, Italy, is a sculptor, poet, painter and draftsman. Gallo learned the importance of the material from his father who was a beekeeper, restorer, architect and painter. Calabrese of origin, Gallo moved to Rome in 1976 to settle at the former Cerere pasta factory in San Lorenzo, where he met numerous other artists. Gallo's works are part of prestigious public collections at the Moma in New York, the Museum Moderne Kunst Stiftung Ludwig in Vienna, the Contemporain Midi Pirenées in Toulouse, the Groninger Museum, the Fukuyama Museum of Art, the Biedermann Museum in Donaueschingen and the MART of Rovereto.
