Jacques Lignier Decorative Bowls

Jacques Lignier was a sculptor, painter and ceramist. A descendant of a family of artists, he began his career with Janselme, a great cabinetmaker and Parisian decorator between the two wars. After the war, he settled in Juan-Les-Pins, where he prospered in decoration, including participating in the Méribel program with Charlotte Perriand. At Vallauris, Lignier became the neighbor and friend of Picasso.
