"I’ve wanted to address the table for a while.
However we did have a few specific key objectives that the table needed to address: one would be versatility, because we live in such different circumstances in terms of size and shapes. The other being easy shipping ability. Tables are naturally going to be large, but flat packing would ease the shipping process significantly.
Also, I did not want the answer to these objectives feeling “industrial” and cold.
The outcome is a highly sculptural trestle concept. Easy to move, yet sturdy and doesn’t have the appearance of being a temporary product.
The trestles has been developed through an experimentation with veneer and its possibility to have double curvature without breaking.
