The late British Dame Vivienne Westwood (1941-2022) designed this corset-style hourglass red velvet evening dress with its outsized bow and sheer moire faux-underlay while producing her "Dressed To Scale" collection in 1998 with protege Andreas Kronthaler. A design from this collection recently set a Westwood-clothing auction record at Christie's London when a corseted silk gown fetched over $41,000.
