This exceptional vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver canister/box has a plain cylindrical form. The surface of the body is plain and unembellished. This canister is fitted with the original hallmarked hinged cover embellished with a gilded applied textured panel, in the design style. The sides of the cover are plain and unembellished, apart from the part hallmarks and plain rounded thumbpiece. This impressive vintage silver canister retains the original gilt interior. Condition This vintage sterling silver canister is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The box has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the box and part hallmarks to the surface of the cover are all very clear. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver mustard pot made by Edward & John Barnard; an addition to our silver cruets/condiments collection. This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver mustard pot has a plain cylindrical form. The body of the mustard pot is embellished with pierced interlacing scrolling leaf designs. The upper and lower rim of this sterling mustard pot is ornamented with an applied bead decorated border. This fine mustard pot retains the original hallmarked hinged domed cover surmounted with an impressive interlacing tri-lobed thumbpiece. This antique piece is fitted with an opposing scroll handle ornamented with a plain scrolling thumbpiece. The mustard pot retains the original removable blue glass liner. Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the body and part hallmarks to the interior of cover are all very clear; the maker's mark to the interior of the cover have wear in keeping with age.
