A real signature of the Grand Art Deco period. The finish is pure “French” polish with parchment leather inlay as part of the writing surface of the desk. The drawers are all joined in the class French tradition, heavy and meaningful. You’ve probably only ever seen a piece like this in books on Art Deco.
