This fine and impressive gold dog brooch has been crafted in 18k yellow gold with an 18k white gold setting. The brooch has been realistically modelled in the form of a poodle's head in profile. The 18k yellow gold poodle wears an 18k white gold millegrain decorated collar, embellished with seven pavé set eight-cut diamonds. The poodle's fur has a textured finish and two inset round cut rubies represent the eyes. The poodle brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and push fit clasp. This impressive dog brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18k gold. The terminal of the impressive antique pin has been designed in the shape of a woman's portrait in profile. The terminal if embellished with exceptional hand painted enamel replicating the details the woman's facial features. The shaped terminal setting incorporates her curled hair held within an impressive Art Nouveau period forehead headband, enhanced with swags and feather protrusions, all crafted in 14k yellow gold. The woman's headband is ornamented with three impressive Old European round cut diamonds, alternating with three round faceted cut peridots, completing the exceptional Art Nouveau design.
