Based in Vienna and Klagenfurt, ohne butter offers a personal and meticulously selected collection of 20th-century design classics with a particular focus on Italian and French furniture from the 1960s and 1970s. All of our furniture pieces are carefully restored, with great respect for their natural patina. Driven by our passion for mid-century modern craftsmanship, we aim to preserve the unique character of our collectibles. On request we also offer restoration and upholstery work.

Mid-Century Modern FLOS Table Lamp Snoopy by Achille Castiglioni, 1st Edition.
This iconic table lamp “Snoopy” by the Italian Design brothers Achille and Giacomo Castiglioni is a very rare piece from the 1st Edition from the late 60s. This lamp is made of white Carrara marble with a subtle light grey pattern. The lampshade is in black raw laquered metal and not made of plastic like today. A thick crystal glass disk is on the underside of the shade to diffuse the light. Always thinking of innovation, Achille and Giacomo Castiglioni used an electronic turn dimmer allowing the brightness of the light to be adjusted.
