The base mechanism is a single coil sprung affair with a domed top, it’s a very early version of the later highly collectable Hillcrest design. The chair has been fully restored to include having the leather washed back, it’s then been hand dyed six times, antiqued and sealed, the oak frame has been stripped back and French polished from the ground up.
