Pair of Alvar Aalto K65 High Chairs for Artek

This pair of Artek’s K65 high chairs/stools designed by Alvar Aalto in 1935 and produced in the 1950's, Sweden, feature honey toned birch legs and a low bent plywood backrest. The seat is covered in a patinated black vinyl and has curved legs as well as a front foot rest. This bent plywood detail would later be a signature design in many of Aalto's later work.
