"Mountain Climbers" - Mountain Landscape in Watercolor on Paper
Serene mountain landscape by Margie Westcott (American, 1931-2018). The viewer stands at a rocky outcropping, looking out over the rest of the mountain range. The mountains are rendered in lush purples and blues, contrasting nicely with the greenery and the rocks. A few Goats are sunbathing on the rocks.
Signed "M Westcott" in the lower right corner.
Artist's tag on verso.
Presented in a silver aluminum frame.

Marguerite “Margie” Westcott (American, 1931-2018) was born in Cleveland, Ohio, but lived in many other areas throughout her life, including New York and California. She attended Shaw High School in Cleveland, was a talented member of the art club and graduated in 1949. She later studied at the Cleveland Institute of Art, where she began to improve and develop her creative skills. Throughout most of her life, Margie attended various art classes and became a skilled painter, focusing primarily on landscapes.
