  • Pink Poppies in the Garden - impressionist modern oil painting artwork floral
    By Sylvia Paul
    Located in London, Chelsea
This original impressionist artwork by Sylvia Paul thoughtfully portrays a verdant garden perspective embellished with the focal subject matter of flourishing, lavish blossoms. The artist creates an expression of a mixture of delicate flora which nod in the breeze that breathes over a meadow of pink and mauve hues. Lush brush strokes and vivid texture bring to life the intimate floral study, imbued with the energy of spring suggested in a loose, abstracted style. The piece is composed of various bright and vivid colours which evoke the lively spirit of summertime. This contemporary artwork is painted in oils on canvas, hand signed by the artist and ready to be displayed. Sylvia Paul studied painting at Colchester School of Art and Hockerill College of Education. She exhibits widely across the UK including galleries in London, Surrey, Neath, Wales and Bristol.
