By noted Belgian sculptor P. Serste signed.
Born in Anderlecht Belgium 1910 and died in Sint Jans Molenbeek 2000. He was a sculptor, painter and water colourist. He was mostly an autodidact. He was particularly renowned for his terracotta and ceramic sculptures of female nudes, boy and girl sculptures and African female figures. Some of his works were cast in bronze by the ‘Compagnie des Bronzes’ in Brussels. He closed his studio in Brussels in 1985 and dedicated himself to painting and watercolours.
