Rare Modernist ring by by one of Sweden's most important 20th century silversmith and master jeweler, Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe (Dec. 4, 1927 - Jun. 3, 2004). The sterling silver ring, circa 1970, is designed by Vivianna for Georg Jensen. It features a large 3 dimensional silver oval .75" wide and 1" long that appears to float over the wearer's finger. The oval is attached to drop shape ring that widens at the bottom of the lightly concave band. The interior has the oval George Jensen stamp, 925 S (sterling silver), and Denmark on one side. On the other side of the interior of the ring is stamped Torun and 155 for the Jensen ring model number. Torun began in 1969 to design exclusively for Georg Jensen and is the creator for some of the company's most famous designs. She was awarded the Prince Eugen medal by King Carl XVI Gustaf of Eden for outstanding artistic achievement. The ring measures a US size 6 / 6.25 and 51.9 European.
