Murano Sommerso Pink Gold Flecks Italian Art Glass Male Female Farmer Sculptures
About the Item
Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso pink with gold flecks Italian art glass man and woman farmer / gardener sculptures. Attributed to designer, and Master glass artist Alfredo Barbini. The color is pink, but they have tiny little blue color dots within, making it an amethyst-pink The male sculpture is holding a shovel, and wearing a hat. The female figure has a flared skirt, and is holding 2 very large flowers. They are on their way to, or back from the garden. They are profusely covered in gold leaf throughout. Both are standing on black bases, with a ribbed design and gold leaf throughout. Mid-century era. Male figure measures 9 1/2" tall. Female figure measures 9" tall.
