About the Item
A functional vintage brass and glass hourglass transformed into a kinetic sculpture with intricate layers of media. The sculpture in finished from every angle and is just as incredible turned upside down. Favourite talisman collage elements by the artist are leather antique book bindings, a found terracotta hand, rhinestone jewelry, bits and pieces from vintage metallic purses, handmade labels from a cigar box, and more. It creates a visual poem about time and its impermanence. On one edge is spelled the moment in old typewriter buttons.
