Antique large and heavy with great patina, 19th century Great decorative collector middle eastern Arabic Islamic art metalwork. Hand forged and hammered metal tinned copper container with lid. Middle Eastern Moorish Arabic tinned copper jug ewer which was used for storing liquids probably water or milk. Rustic, with strap handle and chained cap, hammered design around neck and hand etched detailing on neck and top part of the body while the rest of the piece is completely hand hammered with thick copper. It has a chain connecting the lid to the body of the piece. Originally designed so they wouldn't loose the lid. The jug can be opened and closed at the top using a lid secured by a small chain.
