Pair of French Mid-19th Century Bronze and Marble Tazzas Signed F. Barbedienne

About the Item

A handsome pair of French 19th century patinated bronze and Vert de Patricia marble tazzas, signed F. Barbedienne and after the renowned Albani vase. Each tazza is raised by a circular Vert de Patricia marble base below the fluted patinated bronze socle shaped pedestal support. The striking urns display eight finely detailed bearded Bacchic masks flanked by impressive richly chased intertwined vine handles. Mottled bands decorated with charming grape leaves wrap around the rim also decorated with a beautiful oval and beaded band. Also finished at the interior and with all original patina throughout.
