About the Item

This elegant, cylinder shaped cobalt blue glas vase is hand painted with gold enamel, depicting a scene with a crane in a reed shore. In asian arts and crafts the crane is a symbol for longvity and happiness. This fine piece of glas was designed in the oriental taste which was the to the height of fashion in the 1880's.
