Japanese Contemporary Red White Gold Blue Porcelain Vase by Master Artist

About the Item

Extraordinary Japanese contemporary large decorative porcelain vase, intricately hand painted and gilded on a beautiful bottle shaped body in deep red, white and blue, a signed masterpiece by master porcelain artist of the Imari-Arita region of Japan (1931-2009) and the recipient of numerous prestigious awards for his exceptional work. This piece was part of a collection of this artist's lifelong works that remained in his kiln and was recently released by his two sons who continue to manage the kiln. The artist was admired for his depiction of scenes of nature and intricate geometric patterns. His legacy lives on through his two sons, acclaimed porcelain artists in their own right, each of whom specializes in one aspect of their father’s style. This vase in an attractive bottle shape features round panels with a red star shape pattern appearing in the center of each. The panels present a mesmerizing progressive pattern and the base showcases an intricate circular pattern in red. This stunning hand painted porcelain vase comes in the original custom made wooden case signed by the artist. Dimensions: H 13 in, D 9.25 in.
