Mdina Solifleur Vase with Wide Rimmed Mouth and Bubble Inclusions, 1970s

About the Item

Hand blown Mdina solifleur vase with the wide-rimmed mouth, (1970-1975). Features typical Mediterranean colors, threads of sea-green swirling over a base of the yellow-green glass with bubble inclusions. Made on the island of Malta to demonstrate the modern application of ancient techniques. Roto-pen signature on the polished base (partly obscured by the retailer label). Retailers label from department store label in Wuppertal, Germany. The piece is in excellent condition and a real beauty!
