Mid-Century Modern Czech Republic Uranium Art Glass 'Propeller' Styled Vase

About the Item

This art glass vase is unsigned, but presumed to originate from the Czech Republic and dating to approximately 1955 and done in the period Mid-Century Modern style. This vase is done with a thick clear glass with a submerged inner inclusion of uranium or vaseline glass. The sides of the vase have thick vertical ribs or fins which mimic the blades of an airplane propeller. The top is rounded and the base is ground flat as presented in the photos. These 'Propeller' vases were done by several Czech art glass makers during the Mid-Century era, and we are unable to attribute this one with any certainty.
