Lovely pair of Victorian silver fish servers, in the gadroon pattern, with pierced and engraved blade and fork. Made by Martin Hall and Co of Sheffield and retailed by Hancocks and Co, Jewellers and Silversmiths to Queen Victorian and the Prince and Princess of Wales.

    An exceptional, fine and impressive pair of antique Victorian English sterling silver fish servers - boxed; an addition to our silver flatware collection This exceptional pair of antique Victorian boxed silver fish servers, in sterling standard, consists of a serving knife and fork. The blade of the knife and the drop of the fork have an incurved shaped form. The anterior of the knife is embellished with a bright cut engraved band of leaf ornamentation paralleling the shaped side of the blade, accented with a suspended floral festoon and fabric swag designs. The drop of the fork is ornamented with further bright cut engraved floral festoon designs extending from a wrigglework decorated border to the lower portion of the four tines.     Superb Pair of English Sterling Silver Heavy Gauge Fish Servers of outstanding quality, with exquisite Hand Carved Chinese Handles. Complete with its original silk lined leather case. The Fish Slice blade of incurved form exquisitely chased depicting scrolls and flowers, the Fork with similar decoration. Maker's mark: GH for Harrison Brothers & George Howson. Nortfork Street, Sheffield, England. Sheffield assay marks for 1920. Condition: Good condition, no removals, repairs or alterations, nice clear markings, have had little or no use.
