Rare unique Mid-Century Modern circa 1955 "Avanti" by Celsa, of Mexico, sterling silver Flatware set, 78 pieces. Celsa had a retail store on 57th Street in New York City in the 1950's. The pattern has a fantastic moderne geometric design with cut-out handles.
This set includes:
12 knives with stainless blades and solid handles, 8"
12 forks, 7 3/4"
12 salad forks, 6 7/8"
12 teaspoons, 6 3/8"
12 flat handle butter spreaders, 6"
12 place soup spoons, 7 7/8"
1 gravy ladle, 7 1/4"
1 cold meat fork, 8 1/8"
1 salad serving set, all-silver, 9 7/8"
1 sauce ladle, 5 1/4"
1 jelly server, 6 5/8"
Includes bonus brand new flatware storage chest - styles vary.
Good vintage condition, with some imperfections (pits) on the stainless steel blades, as expected with age. No monograms. This set will be beautifully professionally polished sealed in individual plastic sleeves prior to shipping. Scarce pattern!
