Ceiling Lamp AS41Z by Franco Albini, Franca Helg & Antonio Piva for Sirrah, 1970

About the Item

Ceiling lamp No. designed by Franco Albini, Franca Helg and Antonio Piva and manufactured by Sirrah in 1969. The model is a part of the AM/AS series that includes table lamps, wall lamps, floor lamps and suspensions. The lamps are available with easily interchangeable white glass diffusers or chromed metal screens. This is model AS41Z. The ceiling lamp has a double-linked arm which is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also offers full flexibility. The length of the electrical cord (maximum 105 cm / 41 inch) can be adjusted with the metal disc (see picture). The relatively large semi-sphere is made of chromed metal. In two places (at the ceiling and above the half sphere) screw threads have been applied with which the different parts can be put together. The AM/AS series is described in the Repertorio del Design Italiano 1950-2000 by Giuliana Gramigna on Page 166 (1969).
