Graceful pendant light by Muller Freres with house sparrows flying in the rain sculptures in relief. This early 20th century, French Art Deco light fixture is another great example of the stylish and decorative pieces that the French were creating in the 1920s. It is marked "Muller Freres Luneville". The flying and graceful house sparrows in this light fixture are beautiful in design, but the artist obviously had a deeper meaning in mind as well. This small bird often symbolizes joy and protection and we feel that joy is exactly what this work-of-art light fixture is about. If you look closely at the marvelous glass shade then you will see clouds in the middle and rain drops all around. In the rain most people will bow their heads down and not feel joy.
