Complete Set of Six French 19th Century Louis XVI St. Ormolu Sconces
About the Item
A stunning and extremely high quality complete set of six French 19th century Louis XVI St. ormolu sconces. Each three arm sconce is centered by a lovely bottom floral acorn finial below the elegant fluted lightly tapered central support adorned with fine acanthus leaves. The lightly curved arms are adorned with additional exceptional acanthus leaves leading to foliate beaded bobéches and fluted candle cups. Above and at the center are superb branches seemingly growing out of the tops with richly chased leaves and flowers in outstanding satin and burnished finishes. All original gilt throughout.
