1970s Swedish Table Lamp by Torsten Orrling for Hans-Agne Jakobsson AB
About the Item
An electric lighting device having a shade of folded and formed yellow plastic attached to an inner wire frame threaded on to its electrical socket. It’s chromed metal base having a slender stem threaded into a circular weighted base with a separate cord escape located at the base of the stem. Lamping is accomplished by a single Edison socket. Device has its maker’s decal with manufacturer, model number, and country of origin affixed to its base. An extremely uncommon model of limited production, it is one of the first designs executed by Orrling for Jakobsson when he joined the company in 1969. A more common example of this shade exists in folded sheet metal as a hanging pendant light ‘TN 51’.
