Pair of Art Deco Barovier Pineapple Lamps
About the Item
A pair of lovely and imposing Barovier Murano Pineapple form lamps from the 1930's. In period condition with original wiring and one petal broken off. The petal has a clean break and can be easily reglued. The position of the broken leaf is currently in the front of the lamp but when the shaft is loosened, the top crown of leaves can be turned so the broken element is in the back and not as noticeable.
The body of the fruit is gold flecked quilted clear glass each with a pale opaline emerald green leaf crown. Both sit on a squared base of gold flecked glass with black faux "ring" handles on each of the 4 sides. Amazing period design.
Italy 1930's. Need rewiring, and one petal repair.
Lamp total height is 36" x 8.5". Pineapple motif measures 21.5" x 8.5". Square base 5.5".
