Vintage Late 19th Century Victorian Period Cut Glass, Onyx and Bronze Table lamp

About the Item

This wonderful over size vintage Victorian period lamp is designed with an onyx column embellished with doré' bronze. This rests on a decorative footed platform featuring more' bronze mythological serpents at all of four corners. An American cut glass shade & globe complete this grand ensemble. The lamp is designed for a typical Victorian parlor. It was originally a kerosene lamp that was electrified with a single socket & an in line switch. The lamp retains all of its original components & can easily be converted back to original. Each of two turn levers identify the manufacturer's name, H A Stevens, New York, prominently. The lamp is in excellent physical and working condition.
