An extremely rare Australian Victorian display cabinet with birds of paradise by Jane Catherine Ward (1817-1889) Sydney, circa 1880 With perched on a branch a king bird-of-paradise (Cicinnurus regius), lesser bird-of-paradise (Paradisaea minor), paradise riflebird (Ptiloris paradiseus), twelve-wired bird of paradise (Seleucidis melanoleucus).   • Condition:
    Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor fading. In a good condition. Minor fading to the back of the top bird, some discolouring to the others. Irridescence is still intact. Top glass sheet replaced to suspend more weight, and minor damages to the wood frame.
