Made with unique blend of hand knotted New Zealand wool, all natural silk, and exotic proprietary yarns as a 4 x 4 square rug, this Mid-Century Modern rug hails from the latest additions to the Mid-Century Modern Collection by Rug & Kilim, the first representation of varied 1950s Postmodern styles in luxury rugs with a new approach to large scale, graph, refined texture, and color like this smart play of white and black in positive-negative fashion. The movement of the black geometric patterns in vectors against the crisp white background enjoys a natural depth and dimensionality few square rugs of this quality and refinement enjoy. Connoisseurs will further note the silk’s natural sheen, bringing out a subtle glow in the white background to lend this piece a versatility in varied lighting—open to a variety of projects while still able to cater to Minimalist design sensibilities.
