1930s English Art Deco Carpet By Frank Brangwyn ( 8'8" x 11'9" - 265 x 350 cm )

About the Item

1930s English Art Deco Carpet By Frank Brangwyn ( 8'8" x 11'9" - 265 x 350 cm ) The plain border barely holds in the poly chrome marbled pattern with a giant, flowing lava-like Baroque lozenge cruciform medallion. Large volutes irregularly edge the major device. Greens, ocher, teal and lighter browns are among the somewhat subdued accent tones. Actually, every color is an accent. Asymmetric overall. Ax-minster origin. Good condition.
