Pair of French Louis XVI Style Silver Leaf Metallic Armchairs
About the Item
Dazzling pair of French armchairs featuring carved Louis XVI style frames that have been painstakingly silver leaf finished by hand. The frames have been upholstered with a matching silver metallic fabric on the seat and a Schumacher style geometric velvet fabric in a trellis pattern. The upholstery is bordered with brass tack nailheads with a dark patina. Decorative carved rosettes on the seat apron supported by elegant fluted and tapered legs. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
